Over the course of the winter I’ve been building up a portfolio on what is surely one of the UK’s most colourful birds. Many are taken on rather drab winter’s days, but the rain and mist sea to make the colours glow even more! Here are a few of them, all taken with a Canon 5D M3 and 400mm F5.6L lens. ISO speeds range from 200-800.
